Taiga Trigo is a multidisciplinary artist and audio professional, with a passion for exploring broad social topics via sound(ing) and listening practices and processes.

Her artistic practice relies both on hands-on as well as theoretical research, and its outcome often intertwines installation with performance, created site-specifically.

With a MA in Sound Studies and Sonic Arts (UDK, Berlin) and a BA in Filmmaking (ESTC, Lisbon), Taiga, originally from Portugal, has been living and working in Germany since 2011.

Sometimes referred to as a “creative jack of all trades”, in the last decade Taiga has designed and recorded sound for television, short film and live music; worked with video & photography; played accordion in a cumbia band, co-created summer camps of music, theatre and dance for children; been actively involved in Berlin’s writers and spoken word scene as well as engaged in queer community-building and activism.

Taiga thrives when working with others and is always enthusiastic about being approached with new creative collaborations and inspiring work opportunities.

Currently, since the beginning of 2022, she is proudly part of the Basis Post-Production team (https://www.basisberlin.de/all-post ) working as foley editor and sound recordist at studio facilities in Friedrichshain, Berlin.
