Space for Sound

is a site-specific sound installation that inherently does not emit or record sound. Instead it grants “permission” for sounds to occur, thus encouraging the visitor to shift their attention to the acoustic sound occurances and sonic possibilities within a particular perimiter. It adresses the topic of sonic agency of gallery and museum platforms for which sound art work is comissioned or accepted.

This instalation was created specifically for the façade of the institution Akademie der Künste, in Berlin, during the festival of electroacustic music of September 2019.
