Body, Community, Art

“Taiga Trigo explores the topic of RESILIENCE from a queer perspective

: what role do our own bodies, communities or art play in dealing with stress and how can they contribute to resilience? In collaboration with artist friends Danilo Timm and Carina Speck, she developed a set of somatic exercises to track down the feeling of being "capable",  strategies for self-regulation and to articulate these linguistically and vocally. "Body, Community, Art" interprets the ability to express a wide range of emotions required for resilience through a broad spectrum of sound dynamics, modulations and cinematic effects.

Taiga Trigo is a multidisciplinary artist and audio professional. In her artistic practice, she combines practical and theoretical research on sound, language and social practices of listening. For example, she explores her own voice experimentally: what happens when we speak, sing or shout? What anatomical processes take place? And what traces of our own biography are inscribed in our voice? Her audio pieces, video works and installations are often created site-specifically and in collaboration with other artists and musicians”.
